The article is explaining that it is harder for the smaller budget films to compete and to be successful as the bigger budget films, this is because as the film analyst states that films from the major studios take more than 90% of that,”. “That leaves about 650 films in the US chasing 9% of the box office.” The article also explains that there is not much difference between high-end TV and films. This is because there is an increase investment in TV in order to compete and be successful, as investment doubled from £252m in 2013 to a record of almost £500m last year. The article says that the bigger TV production companies such as Amazon, HBO and Netflix are having to spend 1 million pounds or more an episode in order to achieve a high quality and experience for viewers.
