Both: Hey Guys, Im Callum and Im Austin, presenting this short film to educate the aspiring filmmakers on film investment.
Austin: And we will be documenting on how the following companies: Block buster films, we are uk film and creative Europe uk can help young filmmakers.

Austin: FILM INVESTEMENTS:
Consistent investment in UK film has been leading to success in the thriving production scene within the UK, which is now a great opportunity for you, young film investors out there.
However this has been a surprise due to US domination of film, so with investments into these new UK films, it could potentially see good return.
Figures for investment. (take as short pause) reported by BFI, they stated within the UK film industry funds such as 7.3 billion pounds has been valuable for young uk film makers.
The report also showed that In 2013 UK film box office revenues exceeded billions for a third year in a row, showing just how strong the UK film industry is, which will be able to aid you guys in the UK wanting to produce film.
Callum: INFORMATION:
Creative Europe UK stated that over the previous 2 years a total of 57m euros has been invested into 115 different UK films. Which could be the place for you (point at camera)
In addition, companies such as Red rock entertainment have an easy use website so you can assign to a film and invest into it to help aid the production of the current film.
Austin: SUCCESFUL INVESTMENTS:
Animation, typically film for kids have been revolved around investments in the UK film scene, from this you can see that investments have been worth it due to the popularity of these animation films over the past few years, which may be a genre of film to produce for you.
Callum: EXAMPLES:
An example of a successful recent film investment was for a film rated 6.8 on IMDB called Fire at sea, also receiving the Golden Bear award, and received an award at the International Film festival award in 2016.
Due to this success, the total investment of 35,700 euros towards this film was a risk that leads to potential profit for the investors, which could be you in a few years.
Austin: RISK:
However, within the risk of investment, the potential lose into a large investment could end up un-successful if the film doesn’t seem to find the market for distribution.
So from this, when you go into the investment scene you have to study and document what’s going on within that type of genres market and what type of film people like to see what is going on at this moment in time, so that your investment in worth the budget needed or used.
Callum: HOW TO GAIN INVESTMENT FOR YOUR FILM:
England (pause)
If your film is based in the UK, the BFI is the lead agency for film in the UK. The BFI Film Fund, invests over £26m of Lottery funds per year to support film development, production (incl. majority and minority co-productions) and distribution activity in the UK.
Another UK film agency is BBC Films (pause), they are committed to finding and developing new talent, Applicants usually get in contact with BBC Films via an agent or individually, as an established producer.

Film4(pause) Channel 4’s film production arm, they invest £15 million annually in developing and financing films for theatrical release in cinemas, working collaboratively with filmmakers and usually in partnership with other funders.
Creative England also offers a number of funds for development and production funding. Creative England is particularly interested in projects from regionally based filmmakers or which have a strong regional voice.

The Creative Scotland Film and Television Funding Programme provides support to emerging and established film talent capable of creating distinctive and engaging work that promotes Scotland’s creativity.
Callum: Northern Ireland (pause)
Are you an Irish filmmaker?,
The Northern Ireland Screen offers a range of funding strands for script, project, feature films, television and digital content production funding. Incoming productions will be required to spend a proportion of the total production budget in Northern Ireland.
Austin: Wales (pause)
Maybe you’re a welsh filmmaker?,
Film Cymru Wales aims to identify and nurture Welsh filmmakers – particularly producers, writers and directors – by supporting and encouraging the development of their work and ambitions.
